About DOKU-RIN
A diary that turns venom into nutrition.
What
Some days a feeling builds up that won't be said anywhere. Saying it on social media would make trouble; saying it to a friend would be too heavy; even keeping it for yourself is too much. DOKU-RIN is a diary built to be where those words go. You post; the dokurin eats them; the dokurin slowly changes shape from what it's eaten. That's it.
What it doesn't do
The dokurin does not comfort. It does not encourage. It does not agree or disagree. It eats. Don't expect a reply. Don't ask for advice. What the dokurin can do is receive, and stay quiet. If you need someone to encourage you today, find that elsewhere — this room isn't built for that.
About the words you write
The body text you write stays inside your device. The server only ever receives an emotion label and a few counts; the text itself is discarded. This is the default behaviour, not an opt-in. The body text is published only if you explicitly choose to share a post to the public room. Anything else, even when it touches the server, never leaves your device. Words you don't want anyone to see can stay unseen. The dokurin doesn't remember the letters either — only the weight of what was eaten is what's left.
About the backer plan
DOKU-RIN has a ¥500/month backer plan. It is not for unlocking features. It exists so the room can stay open. The server bill and the AI usage bill arrive every month, and if no one pays them, one day the room will close. Backing does not make feelings heal. It does not solve a problem. The service doesn't promise that. It only means the room doesn't close yet. The details are on the support page.
Not a substitute for care
DOKU-RIN is not medical care. It is not psychotherapy. It is not counselling. It is a diary. If the feeling is strong right now and you'd like to talk to someone, these are the people to reach. Those people may help you more than a dokurin can.
